I wanted to convey the feeling of Warhol's pop art and combine it with different ways to embroider to create different textures. |
Do the MileyInspired by pop culture and creating a portrait with embroidery, this piece shows the face of pop culture at the time, Miley Cyrus. I wanted to explore using different hand embroidery techniques to create different line qualities to make up the face. I also wanted to try and keep it simplistic as to not over do the color and texture to make it more consumer acceptable. | Egyptian JewelsInspired by Egyptian neckwear and how it shows the importance of the person wearing it, I created this kaftan in illustrator and photoshop. | Egyptian JewelsThese are two color ways of the kaftan.
